At any point rocks, trees, and boulders can fall and block your path which keeps you on your toes like never before. There are a couple of new obstacles that mildly spice up the gameplay though. There's fire, debris, walls, and chasms to slide, tilt, and jump over.
The obstacles you face are largely the same too. However, the lack of any meaningful gameplay changes does feel like a bit of a shame - particularly when you realise that the franchise has been around for over four years.įrozen Shadows still has you running away from a weird gorilla monster, except this time it looks a lot more like a yeti. What it is is a winter reskin of the tried and true endless running gameplay we've all seen before. To call Temple Run 2: Frozen Shadows an expansion is inaccurate.
